The Kokomo Family YMCA proudly presents the Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 24, 2022. This timed 5K race is a great opportunity to burn calories before you stuff your face on Thanksgiving. Registration
Registration coming soon! You can register online or in-person at the Kokomo Family YMCA. Same day registration will also be available at the Downtown Y.
Location
The Kokomo YMCA Turkey Trot will be located in Downtown Kokomo: 114 North Union St., Kokomo, IN 46901. The couse will be through Downtown Kokomo.
Date and Time
Race day is on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 9AM. We ask that runners line up in the front, followed by walkers, and then families with younger kids.
Packet Pick-up
Packet pick-up will be on Wednesday (Nov. 23) at the Downtown YMCA from 12-6pm. Day of packet pick-up will be 7am-8:15am.
Parking
Parking for the YMCA Turkey Trot is available for free in the parking garages in Downtown Kokomo.
What to Bring
Wear active, athletic clothes, We hope to see you wear your Turkey Trot Shirt! We recommend athletic shoes or sneakers.

When is the Turkey Trot Race?
Race day is on Thursday, November 24th. The race will start at 9AM. We ask that runners line up towards the front of the start line. Next are walkers, followed by families with younger kids.
What is the pricing for the Turkey Trot?
- Early Bird: 09/12 – 11/1 (Receives shirt by race day): 5K Run and Walk, $30
- Late: 11/2 – 11/22 (Receives shirt two weeks after race): 5K Run and Walk, $35
- Day of Race: 11/24 (Receives shirt two weeks race): 5K Run and Walk, $35 *PARTICIPANTS NOT TIMED* Register at membership desk
- The cut off for race day shirts is 11/1/22.

Can I pre-register?
You can register online or in-person at the Kokomo Family YMCA between now and November 24th. Registration on the day of the race will be available at Downtown YMCA.
When do I need to register to be guaranteed a shirt on race day?
- The cut off for race day shirts is 11/1/22.
- Early Bird: 09/12 – 11/1 (Receives shirt by race day): 5K Run and Walk, $30

Where is parking?
Parking is avaliable for free in the parking garages and other spaces around downtown Kokomo.
What does this race benefit?
All proceeds from this run are donated to the Kokomo Family YMCA Annual Campaign which provides scholarships and funding for families and community members in need.
What does registration include?
Registration includes a T-shirt. To be guaranteed a shirt on race day you need to register by 10/8 at 11:59PM EST. If you register after 10/9 (until 10/22), you will receive your shirt 2 weeks after the race.
When is packet pick-up?
Packet pick-up will be on Wednesday (Nov.23) at the Downtown YMCA from 12-6pm. Day of race packet pick-up will be 7am-8:15am.
What happens if it rains on raceday?
If it appears that we’ll have rain on raceday, we’ll cancel for the day for the safety of our participants and staff. We will then make the Turkey Trot a virtual event. What this means is that you will still be able to pick up your shirt and medal at a later date (TBA) and complete the run on your own. We will begin notifying our participants and hour before the start of the race IF it is cancelled due to weather. Please check our main website kokomoymca.org for details on that day.
